NEW YORK – The protesters are angry. They are the Sudanese people of the greater New York/New Jersey area supporting Sudanese demands for freedom, peace and justice. A group of protesters rallied across the street from the United Nations world headquarters in Manhattan, NY Friday to demonstrate in support of Sudanese Revolutionary Demands. They also called for an immediate civilian-led transitional government amid the deadly violence that has gripped the Northeast Africa nation, since the overthrow of authoritarian president Omar al-Bashir in April. Sudan’s capital Khartoum has been on lock down this month as paramilitary groups dismantle the many sit-in protest sites that have sprouted as Sudanese people call for an end to the military-led government. Dozens of civilians have been killed, including 19 children. On Apr. 11, 2019, the Sudanese people were able to overthrow president al-Bashir by peaceful demonstration, and as a result the Transitional Military Council (TMC) took over in order to achieve their Demand for Civilian Government.
“Unfortunately, the TMC has become an agent for foreign governments agenda in Sudan which is against the demands and hopes of Sudanese people; especially for the youth who were massacred in the thousands, tortured, injured and raped. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt governments must back off our people’s interest and stop intervening in our internal affairs.”

Sudan: how Arab autocrats conspired to thwart reformists’ hopes: UK Guardian
“Analysts say the rulers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, no friends to democratic governance, are acting in concert to thwart the aspirations of Sudan’s reform movement. All three tried to shore up Omar al-Bashir’s regime, and since he was toppled in April by popular protests they have conspired to foment a counter-revolution. This fateful turning point may now have arrived” – UK Guardian reports.
“We appreciate the efforts done by the African Union, Ethiopian President, the US Government, European Countries, and some neighboring countries especially Algeria.”
