Former national security adviser and ambassador Susan Rice was very diplomatic in “warmly” congratulating Senator Kamala Harris on her selection Tuesday as Joe Biden’s Vice Presidential running mate. Biden’s selection of Harris makes her the first Black woman and the first Asian-American person on a major party’s presidential ticket. Rice, a former United Nations Ambassador, took to Twitter to give Harris her props.
“I warmly congratulate Senator Kamala Harris on her selection as Joe Biden’s Vice Presidential running mate. Senator Harris is a tenacious and trailblazing leader who will make a great partner on the campaign trail. I am confident that Biden-Harris will prove to be a winning ticket.”

Turning to President Trump, Rice accused Trump of being “corrupt and self-serving”.
“Donald Trump has sold America out for his personal gain. It is essential that we bring integrity, empathy, decency, and competence back to the White House with the election of Joe Biden”. – Susan Rice
Rice, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President Barack Obama, worked in the White House and State Department under President Bill Clinton earlier in her career. Despite not being chosen as the vice-presidential nominee, political observers expect the 55-year-old Rice to most likely be a key player in his administration if he wins. Some speculate Rice could potentially become Biden’s secretary of state.
