NEW YORK – A building housing a neighborhood fitness gym on Manhattan’s Upper West Side was gutted in a two-alarm fire that began early Thursday morning. According to NY Fire Department, a fire was reported just before 7 a.m. at 250 West 106th Street which is a neighborhood gym called BodyStrength Fitness. The fire went to a second alarm, and there were more than 100 fire crewmembers on the scene battling the blaze which was brought under control at approximately 7:58 a.m. There were no reports of injuries and the FDNY is still investigating the cause of the fire.
