Cubans have requested President Biden to reopen the United States Embassy in Cuba to conduct immigration procedures. Thousands of Cuban families started a petition on Twitter with the hashtag #ReopenUSHavEmbassy. Trump closed the U.S. Embassy for Consular services in 2017. Cubans must travel to Guyana to carry out immigration procedures, to enter the United States. However, the only airline that connects Guyana and Cuba suspended its flights on January 5. Cubans with families and loved ones in America are angry and are pinning hopes on Biden to reopen the U.S. Embassy in Cuba for Consular procedures.
“The Cuban community in the United States and Cubans on the island request that consular services be resumed in Havana, Cuba. We ask the new Biden-Harris administration to listen to this request from the Cubans.”

Since the @USEmbCuba ceased its consular services in 2017, the USA haven't acomplished the immigration agreements signed with Cuba in 1994. The cuban families are shattered because of the political differences. @SecBlinken @AliMayorkas #FamiliesBelongTogether #ReopenUSHavEmbassy pic.twitter.com/sBvT3LufFZ
