NEW YORK  –  A second NYPD officer has died from his injuries he sustained when he and his partner were ambushed by a gunman last week in Harlem.   NYPD officer Wilbert Mora was taken off life support Tuesday, a police official announced.  He was 27-years-old.  Mora and fellow officer  Jason Rivera were shot while responding to a domestic violence call.  The two, and a third officer, were responding to a 911 call about a woman having a dispute with her son at at the apartment located at 119 W. 135th street.  When the cops arrived, the woman and one son were at the front of the apartment. The two officers were shot at without warning when they went down a narrow hallway to the rear bedroom where the suspect was. Rivera, 22-years-old,  died that day while Mora was critically injured and placed on life support.

Police Shoot Suspected Gunman in Head As He  Tried to  Escape

-Gunman Dies Three Days Later 

Accused NYPD cop killer Lashawn McNeil, 47  was himself shot in the head by another officer as he attempted to escape from the scene. McNeil was critically wounded  and died 3 days later. (NYPD) 

A  third  officer on the scene shot the suspect, identified as Lashawn McNeil,  in the head and  arm when he tried to flee the apartment, police said. McNeil, 47, was in critical condition in hospital and died three days later from his wounds.  The alleged gunman was a convicted felon who was on probation at the time of the shooting, police said.

NYPD said this is the  alleged gun used in the fatal shooting two  officers in Harlem. – A  Glock .45 pistol, with a magazine capable of holding 40 rounds, was recovered by detectives at the scene. (Source: NYPD)
