NEW YORK –  The New York Fire Department extinguished a fire Tuesday at a Hudson Yards luxury high-rise building during which two fire fighters were injured, according to FDNY.  Fire fighters responded to a call of a fire in an electrical closet at approximately 2:53 pm Tuesday afternoon at 501 W. 30th St., at 10th Ave., a 56-story building on the West Side of Manhattan.  The FDNY said 26 emergency vehicles were on the scene of the fire with 84 fire fighters and EMS crew  responding.  The fire was on the first floor of the luxury skyscraper also listed under 10 Hudson Yards.  The fire was under control at approximately 3:25 p.m., according to the FDNY.   There were no reports of civilian injuries but two fire fighters were transported to Lenox Hill Health Plex with minor injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated. The building has commercial tenants with some retail shops on the street level including Mercado Little Spain restaurant, Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman, L’Oréal USA, SAP, Boston Consulting Group.
